WHITE PLAINS, New York - Incumbent Rep. Jamaal Bowman is running for a third term in Congress, benefiting from the endorsements of several progressive organizations and labor unions.
Bowman, a Democrat, was first elected in 2020, defeating long-time incumbent Eliot Engel in a primary upset. Since then, he has served on the House Education and Labor Committee and the House Natural Resources Committee.
Bowman is facing a challenge from former Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano in the Democratic primary. Spano has the backing of the Democratic establishment, including the Westchester County Democratic Committee.
